Bonhôte adds talent to its IAM department

Independent asset managers (IAM) are a central part of Bonhôte’s strategic development. This department is being strengthened by the arrival of two senior managers dedicated to IAMs.
As a boutique establishment, Bonhôte prides itself on being able to offer a personalised, premium service in line with the expectations that people may have of a private bank with a history dating back more than two centuries. This approach is underpinned by a team of multilingual staff from diverse backgrounds who have the professional expertise to provide a tailored, meticulous service to both Swiss and non-Swiss clients.
Nicolas Bader holds a Federal Diploma in Finance and Investing from the Swiss Financial Analysts Association and is a SAQ-certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA).
He has more than 30 years’ experience in the banking sector, working for BCV, Cramer & Cie SA and, most recently, Credit Suisse SA.
“For me it’s an honour to join Banque Bonhôte and contribute my experience and skills to the business of this prestigious institution,” he comments. “This opportunity to join the IAM department demonstrates the importance that Bonhôte attaches to external managers operating in the Lake Geneva region and beyond.”.
Olivier Christen, who is fluent in French, German and English, likewise has three decades of experience in banking, having worked for over 20 years at Credit Suisse SA as well as at LGT Bank (Switzerland) SA and BPS.
“I’m delighted to be joining such an admired establishment that shares my values and those of my clients,” he comments. “Bonhôte is a private bank where client relationships are paramount. As a midsized institution, there is plenty of room to take the initiative and work in teams, resulting in an even better service for our clients.”.
The strengthening of the Lausanne branch reflects Bonhôte’s commitment to extending its reach throughout French-speaking Switzerland. It believes that a regional presence is essential in order to understand the specific needs of its clients, to be part of the local business landscape and to operate as closely as possible to its clients.
“These new appointments mark a further step in the development of Bonhôte’s business,” says Claude Suter, who heads the IAM team. “We’re delighted to be strengthening our department through the inclusion of two senior managers who are extremely well connected in French-speaking Switzerland. Their presence in our Lausanne branch will enable us to offer a local service to IAMs in the cantons of Vaud, Geneva and Fribourg. These hires also demonstrate the importance that Bonhôte places on the business provided by external managers.”.
Bonhôte is committed to making life easier for its institutional clients in every aspect of their business. It also recognises the importance of freeing up IAMs to focus on their core business of managing their clients’ assets. The department’s mission is to support IAMs in their quest for excellence by providing them with the tools, resources and support they need to excel in a constantly evolving and highly competitive environment.
Bonhôte, a Neuchâtel-based bank with more than 200 years of history, sees this development as another positive step for its business. It also has branches in Bern, Biel/Bienne, Geneva, Lausanne, Solothurn and Zurich.
