Bonhôte Sustainable Development Day
30/06/2022 - Gestion privée Neuchâtel
Bonhôte yesterday held its second annual Sustainable Development Day.
For this second year, the bank – whose head office is located on the Quai Ostervald in Neuchâtel – set about cleaning up around the shoreline. Some 15 employees took turns throughout the day to collect what amounted in the end to over 40kg of waste.
Some of our personnel cleaned up shore, while another group donned diving gear to investigate the lakebed situated just in front of the bank’s headquarters.

Our CEO Yves de Montmollin congratulated the volunteers who took part and expressed his satisfaction about the success of the operation: “The bank has constantly been sensitive to ESG issues, as demonstrated by our sustainability strategy and various initiatives to reduce our drain on resources. Staff members from every department were involved in this initiative, from all pay grades.”
Cyril Lanfranchi, who heads Bonhôte’s communications and sustainability drive, added: “Following our B Corp certification a few months ago, it was important to do something tangible again in addition to all the small everyday steps that make our bank more sustainable. This initiative had two goals: express our commitment to the local community, and further internal cohesion. Judging by the many messages of gratitude expressed throughout the day and on social media, as well as the fun atmosphere during the event, it seems that both goals were achieved.”
Bonhôte, a Neuchâtel-based bank whose history stretches back more than 200 years, is proud to see its business going from strength to strength. As well as Neuchâtel, it has branches in Bern, Biel/Bienne, Geneva, Lausanne, Solothurn and Zurich.
